Anne Taylor Hartzell is the founder, writer and editor of the awesome family travel website, HipTravelMama. I had an opportunity yesterday to interview her by phone about a recent Expedia survey and ask her opinions about spring travel tips and trends, hotel and cruise deals, and planning.
Some of the key points of the survey results are:
** Florida remains a top destination for 2012 and trips to the Florida Keys are up 37% over last year for March and April.
** You don’t have to go to a beach to find great spring deals — New York, DC and Denver are hot, too.
** Consider a Caribbean cruise to save some money, but still enjoy a warm and sunny vacation.

Yeah, me too! Anne made a good point about taking shorter driving trips and staying longer in the destination. Pretty good idea, I think.
