Visiting Prague you easily see why it is often called, “The Golden City of 100 Spires” — it is lustrous by day and radiant at night with a myriad of spires prominent on the city’s many churches and towers.
During my stay in Prague, I joined throngs of holiday shoppers in Wenceslas Square and happily ate and drank my way through the bustling Old Town Christmas Market. I went with the flow of tourists across the Charles Bridge and up the hill to Prague Castle. I was having a wonderful time, but it seemed that I was always part of a crowd.
Previously, I published an article about my first day in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, sharing some of my favorite scenes and moments in the Old Town and New Town areas of the city. But there are other places on the west side of the Vltava River, particularly Prague Castle, that draw visitors from all over the world, too.
